I've raised £6000 to show employers that there are potential consequences for sacking people, just because they don't agree with someones political affiliations.

I was dismissed from my job because I had the logo for a political party that I support on my Facebook cover. This was a month before christmas. I'm now a jobseeker at 60 years of age. I've worked for 43 years and have never been dismissed from a job. I served 7 years in the Royal Air Force and 10 years as a Civil Servant. My work record was unblemished until 23rd November 2017.
I'm currently working with a solicitor preparing my case for employment tribunal, which will be quite costly. I have to stand up for my human right to Freedom of Assembly and Association. I want to let my ex-employer know that he can't just get rid of employees because he doesn't agree with their political choices.
I was dismissed for my political affiliation. If I contest this and win my case at tribunal it will hopefully empower others who find themselves in the same situation.
Any donations will go towards helping me through the next few months while I fight for my human rights and try to keep a roof over my head.
