Story

Hi Everyone.

Thank you for taking a minute to read my call for support and hopefully help me to achieve something incredible.

I am Bex Kenton, a CrossFit Adaptive Athlete – Vision Divion. I am registered blind.

After years of playing blind sports like blind football and goalball I tried many different gyms but struggled with the accessibility. Wanting more of a challenge and with not much hope left, I found CrossFit in 2018. CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.

No matter if you like it or hate it, I’ve found it to be the most fun, most challenging and the most accessible way for me to keep active. No headphones, no touch screens, no judgement.

Every year since 2021 when adaptive athletes were first included into the worldwide CrossFit Open, I’ve taken part and now I’ve won a backfill spot to the Adaptive CrossFit Games in September 2025 which takes place in Las Vegas, USA, where the top ten Adaptive Athletes in each division from around the world come together to compete for the title of fittest on earth.

I don’t only compete to challenge myself; I take part because it helps improve and open up new opportunities for younger generations of adaptive kids.

I am asking for donations to help fund this opportunity. Money needs to be raised for me to compete, for flights, accommodation and food for myself and a guide to travel with me and to support me on the competition floor.

I would be most grateful for any financial assistance you can offer.
