Story

The Bexceptional Foundation 97 for 97 challenge

In March 2021 a report was released by the UN showing that 97% of women in the UK experience sexual harassment at some point in their lives. 97%. This is almost every woman in the UK. There are many further reports that show that this is for many just the beginning, and that 1 in 5 women will experience sexual assault, and 1 in 4 will experience domestic violence. Bexceptional Foundation is taking a stand against this and taking ACTION IN APRIL with our '97 for 97' challenge.

What is the challenge?

We ask that our supporters undertake a sponsored 97km challenge in the month of April. Participants can walk, cycle, swim or run this distance at their own pace throughout the month, helping us raise money for the Bexceptional Foundation's funded counselling. We are a registered charity in England and Wales - registration number 1192745.

Participants can ask their sponsors to donate directly to this page, and can leave the name of who they are sponsoring in a public or private comment. We're aiming to raise £2,500, which will cover the costs of around 100 counselling sessions.

How do I get involved?

If you'd like to particiapte in this challenge, donate in another way, or support us, please reach out via info@bexceptionalfoundation.com for more details and to chat to our trustees.
