Handcycling 200 miles over December18/Jan19 Disability Sports struggle with funding and grants, I have had so much from sports since my motorbike accident in 1982 leaving me a T2 Para wheelchair user. You could say, and I do that sport (para ice hockey) has given me so much, increased confidence, and purpose in life when everything seem to be so dark, the light at the end of the tunnel was this sport. Since 1998 its given me so much, playing for my country, running and play for my local team Kingston Kestrels, the list of achievements are endless and will be listed at the end of this chapter. I want to be able to put something back into the club and GB, that will enable other disabled athletes to excel and reach their true potential, building their confidence and self worth, what I am going to do is handbike 200 miles throughout December, my progress will be share via STRAVA, FACEBOOK, TWITTER & INSTAGRAM, if you saw my old knackered handbike (pictures will be shown) you will know this will be no easy task. All I am asking is if you think that this is a worthy cause and you would like to help me help other achieve their potential or even just play a sport that will give them a real positive outlook, please do make a donation. All donations made will be help get equipment to enable other people to have ago at the sport &
develop grass roots - This is why we do these sponsored events 1998 - I found sledge hockey and it took me from a 'not so good place' to an 'amazing experience'
