Overview & Objective

Coronavirus and its knock-on effects in terms of lockdown, business closures and furloughing of staff has had a nationwide impact. It has left many people including the Frontline Emergency Services, friends, neighbours, relatives and community members struggling to eat, at a time when nutritious meals are more important than ever. We are fundraising to provide meals each week for all those affected.

Mark, Simon, Mark, & Lisa of Chesham, Buckinghamshire have connected with local pubs and restaurants including The Black Horse Inn, The Tavern, The Junction, Brazils, Roots, Sizzler Express and Eat to the Beat have all offered their facilities and staff who have volunteered to prepare hot meals every week.

This is a fantastic offer, but we need you the community to help us We need donations to purchase all the essential groceries and ingredients, and cover essential utilities costs, which will enable the volunteer chefs to prepare meals that will be collected/delivered to those who need a hot meal.

Funding Target

- Our First target is to reach £2,000 which will enable us to provide meals for a number of weeks. We have now crossed this threshold in less than 24hours of launch on the 24th April

- Our Second Target of £3,000 - Completed 28th April

- The Third Target is £4,000 - Completed 2nd May

- The Fourth Target is £5,000 - Completed 12th May

Based on £5,000 our estimates was supporting c70 meals per week, this would sustain the project for 12-14 weeks...….. We have now forecasted due to a significant rise in nearly 3 times this number the money will only last us 6-7 weeks.

This increase in demand is from all areas and our statistics are showing 30% of our meals are going to children that require a hot meal....

This has propelled our requirement to push for £10,000 and over. Please help our community every penny helps.
