I've raised £300 to Help to raise funds for Barugh Green Primary School

At some point over the Easter holidays 2018, Barugh Green Primary School in Barnsley was broken into and copper pipes ripped out and taken from the roof. This heartless and unnecessary act exposed the school to the elements and when staff arrived at school it was flooded. This included the Hall where so many activities take place (its a wooden floor and they assemble here, eat meals here, take lessons etc), the dance studio, classrooms and the reception to school.
Staff have spent days cleaning up in readiness for school to start.
There is untold damage inside and out and the staff are doing an amazing job in cleaning up, maintaining and trying to keep school running as normal.
There is work to be done with the water header tank replacement which will mean some issues with toilets etc but the school are really trying to make alternative arrangements. Lots of other schools would have closed their doors.
Barugh Green is an outstanding school according to OFSTED but many of us think that the school is outstanding because come snow, rain, shine or a hall that resembles a swimming pool, the school always does what is best for the pupils.
My daughter attends this school and I would like to raise just £300 to assist them to replace damaged materials and to make life just a little easier.
The school has many ingenious ways of raising funds and does this all year round to supplement activities etc but I think that something like this event which is so devastating and repellent to such a hardworking school is an opportunity to ask a wider audience for support. Please?
Please would you join me by donating whatever you can to this extremely worthy cause.
This page is set up by myself Louise Lingard-Snape to raise funds for the school as I am a parent of a
pupil.
In no way is it intended to imply any other connection to school nor am I representing the school.
