Following the success of last year, BGSU Dance Society will be running another 12 hour Danceathon! This will be held on Monday 18th September starting at 10am at the Student's Union building on Bishop Grosseteste University campus. As a society we will be taking it in turns throughout the 12 hours to dance. This will most likely range from showcase dances we all know to classic school disco songs such as the cha cha slide and the Macarena. It will be a long day and no doubt we will all be exhausted by the end but we had so much fun last year that we can't wait to do it all again!

This year we will be splitting the money we raise between our society and Cancer Research UK, which is our chosen charity for the year and one that is close to our hearts.

The funds raised through the danceathon will be extremely beneficial to the society as it will support us when buying new uniforms, aid with the payment of costumes for our performances in particular for our Showcase in May and maintaining our equipment that we use during rehearsals and performances.

The funds will also be so important to Cancer Research UK as they fund vital research to find a cure for cancer so no one has to hear the dreaded words "You've got Cancer". This is a wonderful charity that does so much amazing work for those who are affected by cancer and we are so pleased to be raising money to support them again this year.

We would be so grateful for any donations that are made as you will be helping a wonderful charity as well as aiding BGSU Dance Society to continue to grow and help provide its members with another memorable, amazing year full of rehearsals and performances enabling everyone to have a chance to dance.

We will have buckets with us on the day as well so if you would like to pop in and see us and maybe even join in a dance or two, we would love to see you there!
