I've raised £2000 to Support Charities in Bedford that Protect & Guide Young People & Those Most Vulnerable in Our Society. The team are Tay, Shashi & Rommana.

In July 2019 Shashi, Rommana & Tay will be walking 96 miles along the West Highland way, from Milngavie to Fort William in Scotland. This will be over six days, with distances of 7 to 20 miles covered on each day. This walk will test our emotional, mental & physical strength as well as giving us the opportunity to raise money for charities dear to us in our home town of Bedford. We have chosen three charities that we would like to raise money for & hope you will support our cause in reaching the target amount.
Rommana has previously worked for the YMCA Bedfordshire Foyer & has seen, first hand, the support offered to 16 - 30 year olds. This charity offers emergency housing as well as recreational programs & services for all ages in need. The YMCA works closely with local social services & the local council to help our young people & the services offered are always in demand.
Tay has had the privilege of visiting & meeting with staff at the Open Door in Bedford who offer free & confidential counselling to young people. The staff are fully trained & experienced volunteers to support young people is admirable. The charity requires our support in order to continue with the high level of support offered to the most vulnerable in our town.
Shashi, Tay & Rommana have previously helped raise money & well needed donations for SMART Prebend Centre. The Centre provides facilities, support & relieve rough sleeping & to prevent further homelessness. The Centre operates 365 days a year supporting those that face issues around social isolation & exclusion as well as sleeping rough or who are vulnerably housed.
These charities are reliant on funds, donations and kindness from all of us, so please help us to help them. All the money we raise will be equally divided between these three charities so they can continue to support, protect & guide those that need it the most.
We are fully supported by the Bhagwan Valmiki Sabha in Bedford in this charity challenge.
