I've raised £500 to send out essential supply parcels to frontline NHS staff fighting COVID 19. Over 4000 NHS staff need help while on duty caring for patients.

All 4000+ staff across the NHS Trust are facing the biggest challenge they have ever faced - the fight against COVID-19. Whilst they remain dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for patients, we can support them by raising money to improve their well-being while on duty during these unprecedented times.
Here are some quotes from NHS staff:
"My fiancee and family have been the biggest support...it is very emotional and physically draining...away from everybody and I feel really isolated..."
"Nurses need hand cream & lotions. Their hands are very painful..."
Staff in many cases are staying in NHS accommodation after long shifts and are not able to go home.
After speaking to the nurse at Leicester Royal Infirmary, we asked what we can send to Ward 18 to help make their life easier...here is a the list of things that was requested:
Pocket size hand lotions, lip balms, body creams, snack bars, sweets, stationary, pocket size sachets to make hot drinks etc.
We delivered the first package that was donated by our neighbours, relations and friends on 17th April 2020.
But this made us think, we don't want to stop here, we would like to help as many frontline wards & care homes as possible across Leicestershire and the UK. As you can imagine they are all going through the same emotional hardships during this very difficult time and that's where this fundraiser came into play.
The intention for the funds raised from this page is not to supply PPE but items that would make life a little easier for our frontline staff. Once we reach our target with the Hospitals/Care Homes listed below, we will be looking for more to help. If you know of anyone that would like to receive a parcel, please ask them to approach us.
Glenfield Hospital (Leicester) , Treetop Hospice (Risley, Derbyshire)& Royal Berkshire Hospital .
We are aware that a lot of collections are going on at the moment, but please donate whatever you can afford and we will do our part to making sure these parcels are delivered.
With the funds raised, we will personally deliver within Leicestershire, if it is safe to do so. Outside of Leicestershire we can get a parcel delivered via a courier.
We hope you can help us with this small token of support.
