Weʼre raising £1,000 to help fund the Aaranyak project for Shaishav, a Child Rights Organisation based in Bhavnagar.
- Loughborough, UK
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
The Bhavnagar Friendship Link, based in Loughborough have been supporting Shaishav for a number of years, the work they do for the children within Gujarat is incredible and should be recognised. After having a visit from Parul the founder of Shaishav, a new project is starting to happen called Aaranyak. This simply means 'Forest Living', this will be based in the tribal areas of Gujarat and eventually will be a self sufficient working community safe space.
Aaranyak will be a building equipped with Eco
friendly resources, solar panels, windmills and ways of reusing water, farming will take place so the children will use organic produce and cows to have milk. All of this is currently in the planning and is going to take a lot of funds to achieve the dream that Parul has.
The Bhavnagar Friendship Link will be doing fundraising events throughout the year but we have had people ask for a just giving page so they can donate when required to make things easier for them. Up coming events will be posted on our Facebook Page, so please come and support us.
If you have an interest in India, travelling to India with the group or would like to do fundraising with us please contact us on our Facebook page. We are always looking for new members to help us and travel with us to this beautiful country!
