Story
Save9Lives has experienced tremendous success since it’s unveiling in 2015. The organ donation campaign is run by Jim Lynskey, a heart pump patient who is awaiting a heart transplant. The campaign has seen festival appearances, a world record and awards amongst the founder’s own health concerns. Given that the cause is not yet a registered charity, Save9Lives is aiming to raise as much money as possible in order to continue raising awareness about organ donation amongst all ages. According to The NHS, It is thought that 3 people are dying a day in the UK due to organ shortages, despite op-out systems being put into place.
The British Heart Foundation have worked with Save9Lives since it's formation, mainly featuring the campaign in their ‘Heart Matters’ magazine. Founder, Jim Lynskey, was also acknowledged with an inspirational Heart Hero award for his work with the campaign. Heart Disease still remains the UK’s biggest killer, and so it is with pleasure that this night of fundraising will see profits split with The BHF, as the charity continue their incredible work in both research and patient care.
