At Bibble's we have rescued over 140 rabbits since we began in 2010. Most of the bunnies we find good homes for as free range house rabbits or outside in very large predator safe runs. The ones who are special needs, whether they are elderly, disabled, have chronic health issues, or have permanent emotional issues that make them undesirable as pets to other people remain here at the sanctuary and live as pets with us. We pay for all their vet care including yearly vaccinations for Myxomatosis and VHD. There are currently 21 bunnies permanently at the sanctuary who live as house rabbits or outside in very large predator safe runs.
In the UK there is now a deadly virus called RHD2 and it is spreading. It will cost us £420 each bunny twice a year to vaccinate them for this. This vaccine is in addition to the ones we already pay for that cost us £27 per bunny.
