Story
Bicester Green is a Centre for skills, sustainability and second hand stuff. We operate by intercepting items that are destined for landfill and use them as catalyst for learning in our welcoming workshop. We are a place for sharing skills between people, inviting those with knowledge of repair of bikes, furniture and electrical items to share their skills with those who would benefit from learning.
We give things and people a second chance!
However the week of 11th Dec we were both burgled and subject to vandals who smashed two windows in our converted shipping containers and took our till, we believe the cost of the damage is around £1500. We can only assume they took great pleasure in smashing up some of our possessions. We don’t think they felt pride or satisfaction in what they did (I hope not) but they certainly evoked some very confused and disappointed emotions from us. But as we are fixers of things, we will busy ourselves with making sure it doesn’t happen again and repairing the damage.
However we would like to call on the lovely people of Bicester who have always been very supportive of us so far to help us get back on our feet, helping us raise funds for some new windows , a till and better CCVT.
