Story

At The Wonder of Books we are passionate about getting books into the hands of children especially within schools.

Children spend a lot of time at school it is where they learn about the world and is part of the foundation of their future. Books are a huge part in children's learning and can be one of their biggest inspirations.

All children should have access to a variety of books which encourage, inspire, and help them learn.

With your help our Big Book Pledge will get £600 worth of brand new books into each of these 11 primary schools in Dorking area.

Plus Usborne will top this up with another 60% for each school to spend on books giving them £960 each in total! In coming academic year Usborne want to give half million pounds worth of free books to schools!

School libraries are so important to a child's learning. Libraries are where children get the books that help them learn to read from the very beginning, they are where it all begins. They then go on to use them to practice their new reading skill, to help with their homework, to be inspired. It's a place to become immersed in the world of fact and fiction.

We would like to help our local schools without them having to worry about spending any of their budget.

Please help us get books into the hands of children, inspire young minds and enhance children's literacy experience.

All businesses and individuals who donate will be recognized across our social media, in our newsletter and in a press release if they wish. Just leave your name or business name when donating.

Thank you for your generosity.
