Story
This is Philip Campbell, he turned 85 two weeks ago and apart from Diabetes he’s fit as a fiddle. However, a week before his birthday someone broke into his allotment shed and stole all of his tools he uses to farm his vegetables.
He was devastated. Then on 12th November, he rode his bicycle to Lidl on Eastern Avenue to get some milk. He was in there 5 minutes and came out to find himself a victim of theft for the second time. His bike was stolen in broad daylight at 11.30am. The police are unable to recover the bike as the cameras were not working at the time of the incident. The bike he had was an electric Carrera from Halfords. It was his only form of transport to get to and from hospital appointments, maintain his hobby at his allotment and visit his friends and family. He saved up his pension money in order to buy an electric bike so he could be more active. The bike cost him over £800.
I’m trying to raise money to get him a new bike for Christmas without him knowing. If anyone could help even if it’s a small amount, you could really make an old boys Christmas.
Thank you.
