Story

As part of the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Living Seas project, we have been teaching our kids in the north west highlands to become 'Dolphin Snorkellers'. Training in the local pool is followed up by going out into the sea to snorkel for real. We want to do this safely and comfortably so that the kids enjoy it and hopefully will learn to enjoy, love and help protect our seas an marine life.

On Sunday 8th October Norman Todd and Colin Macleod from Ullapool and Stornoway swam from Achiltibuie to Ullapool - 14 miles of cold open sea taking 9 hours. We have raised over £3000 so far but the original page closed so we have opened this 2nd page as people are still wanting to make donations. All money raised will go to the kids project and hopefully allow us to get even more kids involved along the coast and spark an interest that we hope will be with them for life afterwards.

More details about the swim and Dolphin Snorkellers can be found at Big Swim Page and the Living Seas Project

Thanks.
