Thank you / diolch for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are raising funds for Cymru Amdani Hi / Wales For Her, an all-female Welsh Representative International Squad and proud associate member of FIWFA (Federation Of International Walking Football Associations). 

We are a not-for-profit organisation whose members almost entirely fund themselves.

The Challenge: Cymru Amdani Hi’s Big World Cup Walk

In 2025, the FIWFA Walking football World Cup will take place in Alicante, Spain. Cymru Amdani Hi will be taking two teams in the age groups 40+ and 50+.

We have set a challenge for every Cymru Amdani Hi squad member to walk the 920mile (1480Km) flight distance from Cardiff to Alicante- nearly 2 million steps!! 

We will be counting our daily steps and organising some team walking challenges from now until September in order to reach our goal. 

We would be very grateful if you would consider donating to our cause. 

Every penny raised from our Big World Cup Walk will go towards helping fund the Cymru Amdani Hi players and coaches taking part in the World Cup, from travel and accommodation to tournament entry fees, insurance and subsidising players with the practicalities.

About Cymru Amdani Hi

Since our inception in February 2023,

Cymru Amdani Hi (pronounced ‘come ree am danny hee’) has been passionate about inclusion, providing a safe and positive space to develop players, player-on-player support, encouraging friendships and sharing skills. 

Women’s walking football continues to grow in popularity across the UK (and the world) with the many health and wellbeing benefits that it brings. We know what we’re doing is working for members of the walking football community in the UK, as we now have over 40 women and people from gender minorities involved from 10 club teams across Wales and England. We believe that everyone should have an opportunity to be part of what we do, and all of our players sit happily within one of our five squads: Over 40s, Over 50s, Overs 55s, Abilities and Development. Our players report that they are enjoying what they are doing and value the experiences that have been provided. This fuels us to keep moving forward.
