I'm raising £1200 to Help fund the storage of 30 legacy prison beds from the former HMP Holloway Prison until they can be used in future women’s spaces.

Beauty out of Ashes have rescued 30 beds from the former Holloway Prison, London’s only female prison closed in 2016 to make way for housing, the site is currently being developed by Peabody.
Please help us fund paying for the bed storage by supporting BOOA in the London to Brighton Cycle Ride 2024 0n the 15th September.
We have managed to find some storage for the beds and need to pay for this for the next few years, at just £50 a month we were lucky to get such a good deal.
Any contribution that you can make will be gratefully received, and ensure that the beds, the only real physical legacy items that we managed to salvage before the HMP Holloway was demolished in 2023.
The beds will be used and repurposed within future Women’s Spaces and public venues. We are proposing an Art Trail project, involving collaboration with women artists and Women's organisations and institutions to give the beds a new lease of life and raise awareness of the complex issues that women can experience in their lives. We want to see the discussion broardened and look at how a new approach could have profound positive implications for women across society.
