After the sudden passing of Billy Fraser, a founding member of Garlogie Indoor Bowling Club, last year, we want to honour his memory by hosting a Memorial Pairs Tournament on March 14th-16th 2025.

In memory of Billy, the proceeds of the tournament will be split equally between two charities close to the hearts of Billy and his family. They are Gordon Riding for the Disabled (SC028676) and Friends of the Neuro Ward (SC044430).

Billy was the Farrier at Gordon Riding for the Disabled for a long time. One of his granddaughters is a volunteer for the charity as well, with maybe his other two granddaughters volunteering in the future too.

Friends of the Neuro Ward supports the patients of Ward 205 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The staff of the ward, Heroes in Shades of Blue, hold a special place in the hearts of Billy's family, for the care they provided, not only for Billy during his stay but also for the care and assistance that was provided for his family too.

Any donation that you would like to make would be greatly appreciated by Billy's family and the members of the bowling club. They will be combined with money raised over the weekend of the Pairs Tournament and then donated to the two charities.
