Story
Natasha Shannahan was diagnosed with a brain tumour two years ago and we are helping to contribute as much as we can to help fund £60,000 for Proton Beam Therapy (brain tumour treatment) for my niece Tash. Please read her story
Tash had open brain surgery back in March 2018, however not all of the tumour could be removed. Since surgery the tumour has grown rapidly and continuing to grow she has been advised to start conventional treatment (chemo & radio therapy) but Natasha knows her body is not strong enough and therefore has decided her only option is the alternative route. Tash has worked with a detox master who has helped kick start the healing process in her body where she was put on an intense detox programme for 3 months JUL-OCT but sadly this isn’t enough her latest scan showed the tumour is still growing and has now become high grade and is high grade cancerous. She is now working with a specialist for brain cancer and he has recommended a safer alternative to radio therapy PROTON BEAM THERAPY for those of you that want to find out more about this alternative therapy please visit (www.ukprotontherapy.co.uk)
Natasha was under the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton but has now been discharged because she chooses to go down the alternative therapy route. Bully tactic. Despite this Tash still tried to compromise with her oncologist by asking him about Proton Beam Therapy but his response was very negative to this kind of therapy saying that chemo and radio therapy are her only hope of survival, yet saying that her life expectancy will be 7 years should she decide to go down the conventional route and that after 18 months of treatment chemo and radio therapy may not even work plus all the other harsh side effects that come with having chemo and radio therapy
Natasha has contacted the Proton Therapy centre in Prague and has been accepted for this alternative treatment; this means Natasha would have to go to Prague for treatment, where she would receive 30 fractions (doses) of treatment for 6 weeks every MON-FRI. Proton Beam Therapy is NOT funded by the NHS and costs £60,000.
If we can raise this massive amount of money, Tash has been told the initial consultation in Prague will be on 14th January 2019. Before treatment Tash will have to undergo treatment planning on 28th January 2019 followed by the start of the treatment 5th February to 20th March. Throughout the course of treatment Tash will undergo CT scans to monitor the status of the tumour.
Please help our family to raise this money for our wonderful Natasha ASAP so she can begin her treatment in January as planned.
Please if you can help share or better still donate to on the JustGiving link above, we would be very grateful...every pound helps. Please help us save Natasha’s life.
