Story

Billy à Paris

The teachers and support staff at Billingham South Community Primary go above and beyond for our children, supporting both pupils and parents throughout their time at school. During the most recent lockdown when the promised electronic learning devices from the government failed to materialise devices were purchased direct from school funds to ensure no child is left behind. We love our little school and would hate for it to struggle financially once things return to normal so have decided to to do something fun for the children, raise much needed money for the school and do a little bit to help our local community at the same time.

Between Friday 8th January and Monday 15th February 2021 children from Billingham South will collectively attempt to walk the distance from the school to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, 480 miles. During each walk we will be taking a bin bag and collecting litter in order to make Billingham a little nicer for the whole community.

In order to complete this challenge the children will show the five Billy Values: Happiness, Courage, Trust, Quality and Resilience.  We understand that times are difficult for us all but we hope you can support and encourage the children by donating no matter the amount, every penny will be appreciated.
