Story

British Islamic Medical Association (britishima.org)

Are you confident enough to be able to resuscitate someone if they suddenly collapsed in front of you?

Have you ever thought whether people with Diabetes could fast safely?

What about organ donation? What issues have you considered when deciding to advise someone dear?

British Islamic Medical Association has been addressing these and many more questions for you.

We are a democratic, independent, not-for-profit, grassroots organisation for Healthcare Professionals in the UK. BIMA was established in 2013 and has grown nationwide steadily with more than 3000 members.

We support Muslim healthcare professionals to achieve excellence. Our vision is to inspire them to unite in service for all of our patients and health care professionals.

BIMA has set up projects such as Lifesavers. Last year we taught basic life support in over 100 mosques around the UK; equipping thousands of individuals with skills to save a life.

We have created awareness of cancer screening and the complex issues around organ donation.

We take pride in helping to prepare the future doctors, dentists, pharmacists etc. with our ongoing induction events.

During this Covid-19 pandemic we have continued to support our communities with helping mosques prepare for the pandemic including guidance on re-opening.

We have released healthy Ramadhan video series, providing online professional advice regarding diet and nutrition during lockdown and much more.

If you think this is something you would like to help with the please make a contribution. Visit www.britishima.org for more information.

You can make a difference.
