    Story

This is the sad story of a so called loved pet, who was dumped when she wasnt able to provide puppies. Binky is a French Bulldog, who came from a breeder on a contract to deliver 2 puppies in return for her cost to her new owner. The trpuble was, this home already had 4 shizus and a troubled child. Binky wasnt eating properly as shes so timid, the others got the food. Worse still, the little boy in the house pulled her around and made her head shy. The owner at the time, gave Binky back to her friend who had introduced her to the breeder.. We will call her friend B. So, friend b takes this little person home to live with an ageing staffy, two pugs and her sister. Binky being very small for her breed was bottom of the pile. I might also add friend b has already rehomed one dog when she was passed breeding age.. Friend b then meets a new man who wants to indulge her every wish, so along came a pom and a bulldog. This pushed Binky even further down the pecking order and things began to get worse. Friend b spent less and less time at home and the dogs were never walked and all kept together in a small utility room. Binky got pushed off food again as it was often just thrown at the dogs to just grab in a free for all. Time passed and the british bulldog was growing. She was teething and aggressive and attacked binky causing haematoma in her ears and giving her a cherry eye. Binky also has an elongated pallet and was starting to have breathing problems.. All in all, not very healthy. Despite this, friend b still put her in pup and her first litter was born. She had 3, which just covered her purchase fee from the breeder. The british bulldog was rehomed and the dogs were more settled for a time. More new pups came along fron the pugs, but again not many however it was now time to rehome one elder pug to keep a new female from the litter. Soon after binky's babies left, she has her first fit. Appatently she was treated for this but there seems to be no tecord at her vets. A little time passed and it was time to breed again, only this time all 3 bitches did not take. This made friend b very cross so she decoded to rehome one sad little binky to me. As binky and her sister both wet at night and make a terrible noise when breathing so as with all unwanted toys, they were made to live in a garden shed at the bottom of the garden. I hadnt seen friend b for a while, when out of the blue, she wanted to meet for lumch. On the day of the lunch she said to me, remember how you always wanted binky, as i had asked her previously as it was clear the dog was unhappy, she said i'll bring her to you now and we can have lunch at yours. Slightly shocked, i agreed. The pooch arrived with friend b who didnt stay long, and just said, dont worry, im sure she will be fine. Binky arrived shaking her head and scratching her ears. Teets still enlarged from a small phantom pregnancy and looking terrified. Friend b left and set about trying to make Binky happy. I cleaned her ears and cuddled her all evening. It was quite clear she was distressed being left and my two cats were far from welcoming. Never the less we got through the night and in the morning i discovered she wets at night. Her ears were a lot better so i kept cleaning them and hoped for the best. That afternoon she had a breathing spasm. She suddenly couldnt catch her breath and was very frightened. She coughed and spluttered and it seemed to clear. The following day i took her to the vets to hsve a check up. This was when the vet told me Binky needs around 4K of operations. The cherry eye, the squashed back palet a mild ear infection and to be spayec so she doesnt have a phantom again and breeding from her could kill her. She is breathless all the time. She sleeps all day and doesnt know what walks are. She is exhausted all the time due to the effort it takes for her to breath. Friend b is not short of a bob or two so i was rather upset when i heard the news from the vet for several reasons. Firstly, how could she of ignored all this and tried to breed from the dog, and secondly, how could she not of told me?! I obviously tackled her about all of this, only to find myself calling the police from the threats i recieved from friend b and her partner. Now im stuck as i dont have the funds to fix Binky. All i can do is love her and keep her with me and try to keep her comfortable. If she has the surgery, she should live a healthy life and recover at least 60% of her breathing. This is why i set up this page. If you can help this poor little abusec soul, she can start to have at least some quality of life and she so deserves to. She is the sweetest, gentlest, kindest little darling who just wants cuddles and a warm bed. Please help me get her happy and well again x
