· Reforçar as patrulhas noturnas de proteção dos ninhos durante a época de nidificação;
· Reabilitar o habitat da praia;

Bringing Hope Back to the Sea Turtles of Praia Grande
Every year, thousands of sea turtles cross the Atlantic Ocean to return to the beaches of Cape Verde — to the exact same place where they were born — to lay their eggs. And Praia Grande, on the island of São Vicente, is one of the archipelago's main nesting sites, serving as a biodiversity hotspot for the entire island.
However, last year, with the passage of Hurricane Erin, the nesting areas were severely compromised. Without intervention, they could take years to recover — and every affected nesting season represents a direct threat to the future of the species. But with our teams on the ground, we can protect the nests, restore the beach, and ensure that the baby turtles find their way back to the sea.
Because every little turtle that reaches the ocean is a victory for us and, at the same time, a renewal of hope for the future of the species.
