Who we are

Mind Hong Kong is an initiative formed out of the Patient Care Foundation http://patientcarefoundation.com.hk/.We are committed to improving awareness and understanding of mental health in Hong Kong.

What we do

We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. We believe no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We will listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner.

Our Strategy

Mental health is a concern for all of us because if affects all of us. In Hong Kong, thousands of individuals and families experience mental health problems. While common conditions such as anxiety and depression are estimated to impact more than 10% of the population, most will remain undiagnosed and untreated resulting in enormous health, social and economic consequences.

Through public campaigns, Mind HK hopes to increase awareness and understanding around mental health which in turn will influence decision makers to establish a comprehensive mental health policy in Hong Kong and ensure that the necessary information and resources is available to those suffering from mental health problems.

SWL our working with Mind HK to curate a diverse exhibition to abstractly, creatively address, numerous aspects of Bipolar:

Depressive Episodes - feeling low, lethargic

Manic/Hypermanic Episodes- feeling very high and over active

The aim of the show is to use contemporary art/ street art as a vehicle to break down some stigmas associated with the illness, which many people suffer from in HK.

20 exhibits/artworks

Visual Projection

Audio/ sound installations

The required sponsorship contributes to costs which we will also contribute for:

Venue rental fee, art supplies/materials, framing, audio/lighting equipment, marketing, exhibition video and photography.
