Story

Can we climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 24hrs?!

We are attempting a real challenge! Andy and I will be attempting to climb the height of Kilimanjaro (that’s 6000m!) in 24 hours. So that’s 1500 routes at the Matchworks Climbing Hangar, across 2 days- 6th and 7th April 2023.

Why are we doing this?

We are raising money for Marshside Primary School to put towards cost of books, swimming lessons, classroom resources, and other educational requirements that would enable the pupils to continue to thrive. Money previously allocated to these things is being spent on essentials such as heating and cleaning products, meaning no money for experiences and resources that all children deserve.

The team at Marshside is one of the most caring and dedicated bunch that you could wish to have looking after your children. Like all educators, they work tirelessly to support pupils and families, making sure that opportunities are not missed, even if it means using their own money to enable them.

The money that we raise will go directly to the school so they can buy essential resources and fund quality learning experiences.
