This parrot rescue in Blackpool is currently the only place in the U.K to take in birds that are in need. Whether they are injured, disabled or aggressive they will never turn down any bird and will travel anywhere in the U.K to rescue them. This started life with one mans love for these birds and the desire to help, so he started taking them into his own home. He was so inundated with rescues that he had to look at renting some premises. Self funded, he and a handful of volunteers run and look after these birds full time. The rescue is currently getting by on donations and is in desperate need of volunteers. They are currently trying to acheive charitable status. This money would go a long way in making this happen and would ensure this precious resource would continue to operate.
