Story

We are a family run business which over the years like many business have had some very hard times. Four years ago we had to move premises, moving all of our birds and aviaries was a very big job. We were just coming into winter and although the new premises were only down the road, it still proved to be a massive task for us. Over the next few months we were hit by awful weather which made the job even harder. We were due to open to visitors in the spring but due to unforeseen circumstances we couldn't, we remained closed until July. Our team of falconers were just amazing, they showed continued support to not only our birds but also to us.
The collection of birds we have include many different species of owls, hawks, eagles and falcons. It is a collection that our family have built up over the years. Some of the birds at the centre are rescued, generally birds that have been bought as pets and then either dumped or not looked after correctly. We are also home to some endangered species. The aviaries we house the birds in we have had for nearly 20 years and although they are ok we would love to be able to give our birds new homes giving them more room the exercise in and generally give them better quality living areas. Our birds are everything to us, not only do they give us the absolute privilege to be their handlers but they provide us with memories and an escape from every day life. Our birds provide visitors with breath taking flying displays and the opportunity for visitors to see them close. Our birds are not pets and they never will be but the love we have for them is unconditional and we feel totally honoured to be able to work with them every day.
The every day running costs of the centre are high, we are not a charity the centre is completely funded by our family and visitors, unfortunately this is not enough so for the first time we are asking for some help. Please support us and help us raise enough funds for our beautiful birds to have new homes.
