Story
Birmingham Chamber Platform is a volunteer-run non-profit initiative that presents chamber music concerts and invites prestigious musicians to share a platform with promising students and emerging professionals. In a climate where music lessons are rarely offered without charge in our city's schools and where, in many cases, these charges are shamefully prohibitive we believe it is crucial that we foster the development of not just the next generation of performers but also a growing generation of audiences. To this end we promote enriching outreach programmes for young people and adults in our inner-city community and are committed to making our concerts accessible to those who would otherwise not be able to experience them. Ticket sales provide less than half the costs of presenting the compelling concerts we all enjoy. To make up the balance we count on charitable donations from generous individuals.
Please help us:
Bring together world-class musicians to perform chamber music in the UK's second city
Build a diverse audience of all ages and backgrounds
Provide diverse educational opportunities
Enhance the cultural environment of inner-city Birmingham
