Recently, I had the special privilege of gaining first-hand experience of what homeless people go through. From hopelessness and despair to loneliness and sometimes lack of care, people who are without a place to stay are exposed to many elements, and I am not just talking about the weather! At a couple of shelters and hostels in Birmingham, I keenly observed that many of them (predominantly men) were in need of a different type of meal, in addition to the occasional food they receive; a "Plate of Hope". In these uncertain times, hope has become a scarce commodity! Each and every dosage of inspiration can make a difference in the lives of others!

With my years of experience of inspiring audiences and gatherings performing LIVE music, "Plate of Hope" will involve year-round visits to the homeless shelters, hostels and centres (in Birmingham). These shceduled visits will involve inspiring sing-alongs, sharing each other's story, trials and triumphs and encouraging each other.

Will this approach solve their problems. Certainly not! Can it give one person hope for tomorrow? Oh yes it can. Music has always been a powerful language and unrivaled instrument of hope. That is why events and programmes such as Glastonbury, Britain's Got Talent, etc. continue to grow in popularity. The sound of LIVE music can make a difference to these precious ones.

I have shared the intention with several Support Workers at the shelters and even some of the Homeless. Their reactions are phenomenal and their expectations are high. You may not know where to buy "Hope" because hope is simply not for sale. However, your donation can fund and support this worthy cause and give hope to someone.

I will be delighted to share with you how we intend to apply the funds raised via this crowdfund approach. Moreover, we are hoping to secure the services of a leading audit firm so that spending of the money can be meticulously monitored. Integrity and transparency is very important to me.
