It is summer which means... triathlon season!!
And this year, for the third -and possibly, the last time- my brother Arturo and I are raising funds for a non-profit organisation close to our hearts: Design Can ♥︎
Design Can is a campaign, community and resource platform calling for the design industry to be representative of the world it serves.
I used to work at Design Can back in 2021-2023 and now am part of the Steering Committee.
Since 2019, Design Can has built an audience of over 10,000 creative people from underrepresented backgrounds, hosted numerous mentoring events for young people, trained industry leaders in inclusive behaviours, and worked with major brands and institutions including Wellcome Collection, V&A and the Design Museum, diversifying their ecosystem and creating partnerships for impact.
As the fundraising landscape becomes increasingly challenging, Design Can needs further support to continue their mission. So this is your chance to contribute!

And what are we doing - you might be wondering...!
We both are preparing for our beloved London Triathlon, which is taking place on August 9 & 10.
After a smashing first half ironman in Almere (Holland) last year, Arturo will be doing a T100 in London. A total of 100km of swim, bike and run. Exhausting! ✨
And me, I am loyal to the Sprint distance, which I love. The challenge is to 'keep my title' and finish first of my category again this year! 🥇
On our way to August, we both are competing at Dorney Lake on Sunday July 13. I will be doing a super sprint and Arturo, an Olympic distance.
It is always a bit embarrassing to ask for money, but not only it is for an organisation genuinely making our society fairer and more inclusive, but also it is a crucial time to support them as their income is being affected by the volatility of the financial landscape.
