    Story

When I look back, I am so impressed again with the life-giving power of literature. If I were a young person today, trying to gain a sense of myself in the world, I would do that again by reading, just as I did when I was young. - MAYA ANGELOU

Black Books Matter champions diversity in books and stories that represent, are written by and educate on the lives of people of colour.

Through providing books, community projects and workshops into homes, communities and schools we strive to educate young people of all backgrounds to accept and amplify diversity.

    PHASE TWO

300 racially diverse books into homes and youth clubs that may not otherwise have access to resources.

Over 200 Hours of workshops and mentorships for young people.

20 Little Libraries with the community to allow everyone access to racially diverse selection of books.

Developing our theatre in Education Department

    Phase One

We raised £3,000 for Get 300 racially diverse books that both inspire and educate young people of all backgrounds to accept and amplify diversity, into homes that may not otherwise have access to. resources.
