I've raised £250 to Help with costs towards fees for the new season and towards equipment and training kit.

Running a football team is hard work, getting the sponsorship, arranging games and match officials but also the cost to running a team is always very high.
These costs come from the league fees to join the league and cup competitions, pitch fees, referee fees, petrol to get to and from games and training, but also to make sure the players have the right insurance in case anything happened on the pitch.
The parents cover the cost for each of their children in the team and i thought it was time to try to ease that cost as much as possible by setting up a page where donations can be given to the team by friends, family or anyone that is feeling generous.
We, of course don't expect to just get given money for nothing, so we are going to do a series of fundraising events with sponsorship opportunities over the course of the season.
The first event will take place this august (date to be confirmed) and it will be an event i like to call the Jog Cog and Scoot!
This will involve completing a certain number of miles using 1, 2 or 3 of the tools available to you on the day - your legs, a bike or a scooter!
The distance will be set at 3 miles jogging, 3 miles biking or 3 miles scooting. (Total 6 miles)
More events will follow this during the winter with a bag pack at a local supermarket and other events to include a half half marathon.
