I've raised £60000 to raise funds for the Women's Health and Maternal Well-being Initiative's Black women's health matters campaign

We are working with girls and women from African and Caribbean backgrounds to pursue a world where racial health inequalities no longer exist and the well-being and prosperity of girls' and women are at the heart of health equity.
We envision Michael Marmot's shared vision of a fairer society by improvements in women's health and well-being; a reduction in avoidable death, and significant decrease in unneccessary birth interventions and complications through community health hubs.
The ‘Black Women’s Health Matters’ campaign has, thus, been created as a means of aiding our organisation in its development and expansion in reaching our target service users and meeting their needs.
Our Vision
Your donations will help us to expand our team and implement our model of community care. The money raised will also help us meet the following actions:
1) Conduct further research
2) Providing free online resources
3) Co-produce and develop group care hubs
4) Sustain the basic operations of the C.I.C
5) Training and development
6) Increase our capacity for advocacy and campaign work
Our services are imperative to efforts which target reducing and eradicating gendered-racial health disparities and wider inequalities. However, doing so requires funding, especially if they are to be person-centred, holistic, sustainable, long-term, and interdisciplinary/ cross-sector. Therefore, we have created this campaign as a way of fund-raising. We hope that you can stand with us in solidarity and support us along this journey.
