Story

Members of Dromore RFC and the local community are coming together to do a number of fundraiser events in aid of Connor Woods and his family, including the Movember Challenge.

Connor is a valued member of Dromore RFC, who in recent years has contributed greatly showing a great passion and skill for the game. His flair and speed on the rugby pitch was undeniable, but Connor's dedication off the pitch was what endeared him most to all of us at Barban Hill.

At a time in which Connor was often working across the border, he would always endeavour to make it back for training or a match anytime the Rugby Club came calling, a true sign of a Dromore man... always willing to go the extra mile for his friends and the badge, and now we find that it is our opportunity to do likewise for Connor!

As some of you may be aware Connor was injured in a tragic and freak accident in August, and since then Connor has been being cared for in the Intensive Care Unit at Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast.

Connor has been treated with the utmost care and attention by members of the ICU team, as well as his loved ones with round the clock care.

Connor's journey is going to be challenging road, with many unforeseen expenses relating to treatment and equipment for Connor's eventual return home... as such we at Dromore RFC are asking that our following can help support Connor in his recovery!

Members of our Playing and Coaching Staff are doing the Movember Challenge for the month of November, and a series of additional fundraising events will be taking place at Barban Hill to gather much needed funds for Connor's treatment going forward, so please give generously and support one of our own!
