Story
Blaise Together

In February 2018 our seven year old son Blaise Alexis Nelson was diagnosed with a satsuma sized tumour in his brain. after cranial surgery and scans we were informed that he had three main tumour sites in his brain, around his brain stem and coating his spine.
After surgery Blaise endured both chemo and radiotherapy which completely ravaged him yet did not halt the growth of tumours. Blaise lost his hair, his skin was charred and he lost a critical amount of weight which lead to the fitting of a tube to ensure minimal nutrition.
Blaise has lived up to his name and defied steep odds. Though their is currently no medical procedure nor cocktail of toxic medication available to cure or rid him of these tumours. We have managed to find a trail medication that has up to now stabilised growth and allowed Blaise to regain most of his weight though he still needs the tube; as well as much of his self confidence and soul lustre. In no small part this is due to as a family ensuring we gave him lots to live for.
The monies we are trying to raise here along with monies raised from Blaise together - a family celebration of inclusive culture, taking place at New Burnage Sports Club M191AB 08 09 19 with live music DJ’s rides raffles and much more - will be used to take him on a trip of a lifetime. Which Blaise is having the most fun trying to decide.
