What is crowdfunding?

Story
People in Gambia, especially children are struggling for the basic supplies needed for a happy life. Therefore, I am asking if you have any spare change for the Gambians to help build new facilities or basic supplies needed for everyday survival. I am travelling to Gambia on a school trip and so raising money will allow them to have improved facilities and supplies so that they are much more happy.
