Hello Everyone,

With Christmas just around the corner, and good will and kindness in the air, I was really touched today, to receive a letter though my front door from a complete stranger with an exceptionally kind and thoughtful heart.

As you can see from my picture, and to my complete astonishment, this letter contained £10 as a Christmas gift from a kind soul, seemingly looking for nothing else than to spread the love....amazing....such a kind and thoughtful gesture that really encapsulates the true essence of Christmas in my opinion.

In the accompanying letter, it states that:

"The enclosed £10 note is FREE and what you decide to do with it is up to you!"

I can't think of anything better to do with my £10, than to encourage the continuation of this incredibly kind gesture, by asking you all to find it in your hearts this Christmas to give a little bit of money towards this fundraising page that I will be running until December 23rd, with the aim to take all the raised funds to 3 local charities, organisations or persons to whom this money can make a real difference to at this special time of year.

To anyone that is kind enough to contribute to this cause, first of all thank you very much in advance for your kindness and thoughtfulness! Secondly, could I ask that you can leave a suggestion as to where you would like to see this money given once we have finished raising. If you could add this as a comment when you donate, that would be fantastic.

I will then collate all of your suggestions on Monday the 24th and put all the names into a hat, and with the help of one of you who I'll choose at random, we will pick out three of your suggestions. The funds raised will be split into thirds each third will be delivered to those chosen on Christmas Eve.

Lets see if we can really make a difference and show the world what an amazingly kind and generous community we have here in Blandford Forum. I'll start by adding £20 bring our starting total to £30.
