Story

For the past few years i have used my Bleeding Tough campaign to raise awareness for Haemophilia, I also raised money for the children's room in my local Haemophilia Centre. After a conversation with my Physio I became interested in looking into Haemophiliacs around the world who don't have the luck of having a NHS to supply them with the treatment they need to live. I was told that my centre was twinned with a Centre in India, In May this year i had the pleasure of meeting 2 of the Doctors from India Dr. Vijayakumar and Dr Sheena Mathew and after talking to them and the staff from my HC I decided that I would like to help and try and raise cash to buy them a scanner to help treat they patients more effectively as there is very little treatment over there to stop bleeds. they manufacture their own cryoprecipitate treatment, This is the blood product i used to get some 30+ years ago. I was told that 75% of Haemophiliacs over 17 are crippled because of inadequate treatment supply. This is not right. I will be posting photos of what it looks like when bleeds are left without treatment. i know how much my bleeds hurt and the pain I get. Please try and imagine the pain of these Haemophiliacs.

Please take a few minutes to look at the link below and watch the video i post about this Haemophilia centre and the amazing work they do.

On 10th November I will take part in World's Toughest Mudder a 24 hour obstacle course race held in the USA. This event will push me beyond my limits both physically and mentally, it will be by far the hardest thing i have ever tried in my life. I will be using this event to try and raise as much cash as i can to buy this scanner.

I need your help to make this happen, please if you can or know of people or companies that may be willing to help get in touch.

Thank you all for your time.

Carl.
