Story

This year, I’m celebrating my birthday a little differently - walking with purpose and raising money for a cause deeply personal to me.

I’m gathering friends for a mindful, beautiful and first ever hike approx 12 km (8 miles) in Box Hill on 31st May to raise funds for Fit to Achieve - a charity that supports and uplifts children living with sickle cell in West Africa through creativity, education, and access to better care. Sickle Cell affects thousands of families and has a more severe impact on families in West Africa who lack in community, care and access to relevant resources. As someone with a personal experience of living with Sickle Cell, this cause is close to my heart.

Rather than gifts, I’d love for you to support by donating whatever feels good. Whether it’s £3 or £30, every bit helps. Your donation will go towards empowering people to take control of their health and remind them they’re not alone.

Every step we take is a reminder that health and agency over our bodies are gifts, and that we can help offer those same gifts to others.

This is more than just a walk. It’s a moment of joy, strength, and sowing into something meaningful.

Thank you for helping me turn a personal celebration into collective care.

With love,

Blessing
