Having lost several of my family to cancer related illnesses & having had many friends and family whove fortunately overcome their battles. I want to give back this Christmas and this is where I need your help.

The work they do at the Cancer Care Centre at York Hospital is incredible providing therapy and support to patients and their families. I can only imagine what going through chemo in the run up to Christmas is like. I imagine pretty depressing, while everyone else is running around getting excited about all things tinsel, the realities of going through chemo are very real to too many! These bags contain things that will be of comfort/help to somebody having treatment.

Here's where you come in - I am looking for people & businesses to sponsor a bag or whatever they can give. Each bag will cost £17 and i would love to personally provide 30 so i have a huge way to go!

So why all these things in the bag;

FLUFFY SOCKS - For Comfort and keeping warm

WARM HAT - because losing your hair at Christmas is a reality and it's chuffing cold

MINTS - One if the hardest bits can be the taste that hits the back of your throat as soon as the infusion starts and the smell

TISSUES - your nose will run all day, and eyes watering without warning

GINGERNUT BISCUITS - Ginger is known to help nausea and with chemo you are pretty sick, these just about covered my appetite without throwing it straight back up.

NOURISH - Your skin and nails take a bit of a beating with Chemo so a great quality hand cream is a real comfort.

LIP BALM - your lips flake, dry and become quite sore

CHAMOMILE TEA - as having chemo can be a stressful time so anything calming can help

COLOURING PAD & PENS - The reality is you spend horrendous amounts of time there, distracting yourself from reality is a blessing!
