My November Challenge – Can you help?
November is a fabulous time of year in the world of Usborne – amazing new Christmas books, cosy home parties, fun and frolics on Facebook… all of which equals the amazing opportunity to get books into the hands of children for Christmas. But what about those Children who won’t get books bought for them this year, or those groups, schools and carers who would love to have a new book or two to share with children?
I need your help to make this an amazing Christmas for lots of children in our local community.
In November, December and the lead up to Christmas I will spend my time giving out brand new, beautiful books. I will donate some to schools, to Brownies, Cubs and Scout groups, to playgroups and pre-schools, to churches, to Doctor’s waiting rooms, to anywhere and everyone that you would love to see blessed with books. I will also be wrapping some and leaving them in random places with a little note for children to find. I am definitely open to ideas and suggestions – if you know somewhere that would appreciate a free book or two or three then please do let me know. Let’s all pull together and see how many books we can get out there for our local children!
I will be donating my November commission from my personal sales in books to be given out throughout December. I don’t have a set target amount, but I do know that this could be huge if we all got behind it for our own local groups and the children in our streets, villages and schools.
November is one of our busiest months in the Year. People all over the world are buying books for children for Christmas. We have such a huge range of wonderful books and they are suitable from birth right up to young adult. As an Independent Usborne Organiser I would love to get more books out there for our children in Stoke-on-Trent, and what better way than to spread the Christmas cheer, give the gift of reading and bless them with books?
How can you help?
For every book that you order from me this November for your own children I will be donating 24% of that towards a brand new book to give away. You will get a beautiful book of your choice to give to a loved one, and know that you are sharing the love even further! If you are not sure what books to buy for the person/child you have in mind then please just ask. I can share suggestions and together we can find the perfect book for you.
I’ve also set up a Just Giving page where you can donate money if you don’t need to buy books for yourself. If you wish to donate then all of the money raised will be spent on Usborne books to be distributed to children. Even better – why not donate and send me a request of a group, school or place that you would like books to be given!
Any support would be amazing. Please share this post far and wide, get sending me some ideas of places for these books to go, and let’s give so many more children the gift of reading this year.
This is my online catalogue but please message me if you wish to order so that I can keep track of the total sales easier, and send you a little thank you note for your support! https://org.usbornebooksathome.co.uk/francescanixon/catalogue/catalogue.aspx
