Story

In 2011 Marcus Gynn started his running journey when he describes even a mile being "too much". Just 18 months later Marcus completed his first marathon and went on to complete an Ultra. My Running Stories, initially written as a blog, captures his stories and feelings about his running journey.

In early 2015 Marcus was diagnosed with cancer and his running journey takes an unwanted twist. Despite this he continues to write with a passion, commenting on the impact his treatment had on his fitness and the frustrations of not being able to run.

Marcus sadly passed away in February 2016. His family sent his blog to America for printing and for a significant sum of money recieved 5 hardback copies. Following this friends and family also wanted a book however the costs were too high. Through a family friends contacts we have been able to edit and produce copies of the book at a more reasonable cost within this country.

For a minimum donation of £16 the donator will recieved a copy of the book and at least £2 of the donation will be sent to Sarcoma UK. If we are able to print more then 200 books then a larger donation will be sent to Sarcoma UK. Please send your address to imp21@hotmail.com so your book can be posted once published
