Weʼve raised £860 to Thames Path Challenge for charitable causes

    London, UK
Funded on Monday, 27th August 2018

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are committed to hiking 100km across the beautiful South Downs in less than 30 hours. well that's the plan at least.

In the post Christmas haze it all seemed like a good idea...... and a long way away. Mid-July, no worries, plenty of time.

We'd be grateful for your support - 10p per km would be great. Double up to 20p per km if we finish without arguing. Or 10p per metre of strapping or tape and blister plasters we will need. Or even how many beers we will consume on our training walks (ok, that's maybe not the point...) but the simple thing is that any amount however small will go to a great cause and will spur us on even more.

Our fundraising will be split between 4 charities - we will each choose a charity that we want to support.

The Trailwalker is a gruelling 100km hike in less than 30 hours on a route set by the Gurkhas, who are there to man checkpoints and support the teams throughout. Each team is made up of 4 walkers and 2 support crew. Its a team even- we have to walk together and finish together. Our support crew will be meeting us at various checkpoints en route over the 30 hours.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

To our supporters, families and friends, We were advised by Oxfam late on Thursday 12th July that they have had to make the hard decision to cancel the Oxfam Trailwalker this weekend. This is due to the expected heat and humidity on the course this weekend going above the safe levels set and agreed with the military and MOD. The Gurkhas run this event so we figure they know their stuff!! Please see our attached update for details. Thank you all for your support, Fiona, Christian, Chris and John Team Blood, Sweat and Beers (and Tears)
