    Story

Hi, we‘re looking for help for our precious fur baby Blue. Hes a siberian husky and only 5 years old and fell really ill so quickly a few weeks back. We took him to the vet and what we thought was just an infection turned out to be a huge cancerous tumour in his tummy causing him trumendous pain. He was then transferred to a university vet hospital to get this removed which was very successful and we have our big happy bouncy boy back. Blue was diagnosed with gastro-intestinal lymphoma but they were surprised as he is a very rare case as they managed to remove the whole tumour with no problem or any obvious signs of spread. They cant believe how bouncy blue was at his 2 weeks post op check up as when they first met him he was so poorly. But basically Blue still needs chemotherapy to give him the best chance as they feel it will remove any signs they may not have caught throughout his body, he has responded so well to everything so far they feel he may be this 1 in 10 that come away and last years. Obviously hes our baby we‘re not ready to let him go so soon.

Anyway this is the problem we have.. we were in the middle of transferring insurance companies when blue took not well so everything was claimed for through insurance. Now the insurance company have came back and told his they arent covering any treatment as it was started in what they call the “14 day cooling period” so are classing it as a pre-existing illness. This was in no way stated on their page anywhere to be seen so i faught this with them and it was in terms & conditions page 93 section 14. Who even reads all the small print? Something that could effect your claim should be where you can see it! So now we have £6,000 to pay for blues treatment hes had so far (this was only his hospital stay for the operation and after care) Before we even get chemo. They wont let us pay them weekly unless its in the thousands and will end up taking us to court. So im hoping and praying any kind people out there could help us out, doesnt matter how big or small every little helps. We’re heart broken over this and we have 2 kids who dont want to loose their fur baby either :(

    Thanks for reading.
