I'm raising £500 for Blue Coat Preschool and Busy Bees

At Blue Coat Preschool and Busy Bees, we believe that children learn best through play, exploration and time spent outdoors. We are passionate about providing an environment where every child can thrive, follow their curiosity, and develop key skills through hands-on experiences.

We are now raising funds to create a covered outdoor learning area, which will allow our children to play and learn outside in all weathers, all year round.

Currently, our outdoor provision is limited by the unpredictable British weather. This means that valuable opportunities for learning, movement, and exploration are sometimes restricted. A covered space will transform our provision by:

Giving children continuous access to outdoor play, whatever the weather

Creating additional space for messy play, creative activities and group learning

Supporting children’s physical development, wellbeing, and independence

Enabling us to extend our curriculum beyond the classroom every single day

For many of our children, outdoor play is where they feel most confident, engaged and inspired. This project will ensure that every child—regardless of background, ability or need—can access these experiences consistently.

As a small, community-led preschool, we rely on the support of our families and wider community to make projects like this possible. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us create a safe, inspiring space where our children can learn, grow and flourish.
