One of my favourite people in the world, Eva, has cancer and I need you to help me help her. We don't have much to give you in exchange for your help but, as a small gesture of gratitude, at the bottom of this story you can download an unreleased track we made back in 2011.

Eva is eight years old and the youngest of four children. The whole family are great friends of ours and often give a home to the stray animals we rescue when I'm here in Greece.

As well as helping us with animals the family also takes in refugee children from Syria, Afghanistan and other countries. They're some of the kindest and most generous people we've ever met.

This cancer diagnosis has come as a complete shock to the family, both emotionally and financially. Unfortunately, the Greek healthcare system will only cover part of Eva's treatment and the family now has personal monthly costs of over €1000 to cover anti-nausea pills for the chemotherapy, daily antiseptic bandage changes, constant sterilisation, daily chemotherapy journeys to the nearest hospital and many more costs that are becoming overwhelming.

The family has tried to sell part of their property to raise money but, of course, in the current climate this is proving impossible.
