Story
The Blyton Children’s Playground Group are working with Blyton Parish Council and local parishioners within the village to raise funding to build a new play park for the village.
We aim to build a play park which the village can be proud of and create a playful and safe environment that encourages physical activity and contributes to the physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and young people within the village.
We are keen for the play park to become a community asset and as such are working to raise funding through donations, sponsorship activities and grant funding towards the total cost of the play park which we estimate to be around £70,000.
Blyton Parish Council are committed to improving the play facilities for young people within the village and have therefore committed £15,000 towards the development of the new play park.
We plan to build the new park in a number of phases over the next 12-18 months to ensure we have sufficient facilities for young people of all ages within the village and have already started sponsorship activities with 10 year old Daisy’s 3km charity swim.
The entire community stands to benefit from the project and only through the generosity of our families, businesses and the whole community can our dreams be accomplished.
