Story
The Hub@BA15 is a charitable trust, supporting people in Bradford on Avon to relieve poverty and thrive. The team at The Hub supply the local food bank, as well as providing a work club, debt advice and counselling services. This help is always vital, and inevitably will be needed even more as the economic effects of the Coronavirus lockdown are felt in our town.
I want to do what I can to help The Hub team top up their food bank supplies, and purchase the other vital resources they need.
On the afternoon of Saturday 2nd May, I will be taking on a Burpee challenge on the driveway outside my home in Bradford on Avon, in the hope you will dig deep to donate to spur me on, and support The Hub@BA15.
I will be performing 1 MILE OF BURPEES!
The distance will be covered by performing a full Burpee, immediately followed by a jump forward, and then I'll repeat, again and again and again - possibly close to 1000 times!
Every £ donated will help to keep the food bank shelves stocked a little longer, and might also make each burpee hurt just a little bit less.
Movement technique will be key. Burpee standards are:
- Chest and thighs must touch the floor.
- There must be a two foot jump forward to the hands, rather than taking a step forward.
- The jump after the Burpee, to move forward, must also have a two foot take off, rather than a hop.
To make sure the challenge is completed successfully, family and neighbours will be keeping a watchful eye, and we will post highlights to the website afterwards: www.simonbeatsonpt.com
Thank you so much for any support you are able to provide, by either donating or sharing this page.
