Story

People may remember our Christmas charity work at Masizame children’s Shelter - a place in South Africa, very close to our hearts. The children are there for various reasons, ranging from having no home of their own, parents who cannot afford to look after them, to rape & abuse. Many were street children but with a lot of love and care have managed to go to school on a daily basis.

They receive clothing, three meals a day, supervision over homework, counselling, camps, art lessons, sports activities and outings. Staff also work on rehabilitating the child and re-uniting them with their families where possible.

Bob has not yet had the pleasure of meeting the children and staff at Masizame but he will in the future. In the meantime he would like to help with one of their most recent needs. A washing machine is urgently needed as their faithful machine has just given up. Thozama, their laundry whizkid cannot manage the washing load of 30 children, 30 bed linen and towels etc.

Bob will complete a ‘Toddler Triathlon’ to raise funds for a new machine. He will complete a 25m swim, 100m cycle and 50m run!

We are teaching him from a young age the lesson of kindness. We hope you can support him in his challenge.

Thank you
